Refugees and internally displaced persons residing in the dormitories of Baku State University will be moved into a settlement founded in the village of Mushvigabad starting February-March.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov at a meeting to discuss measures to be taken under the 'State Programme on improvement of living conditions and employment of refugees and internally displaced persons' in 2013.
The resettlement process will begin with the advent of better weather conditions. Children of the refugees residing in the university dormitory will continue their studies at village schools, Hasanov said.
Eight settlements and 4000 apartments will be built for refugees and internally displaced persons in 2013. Some 20,000 IDP's will be provided with apartments, Hasanov said.
Some 300 million manat was sought for this purpose from the state budget this year.

He added that such buildings will be constructed in Absheron, Imishli, Garadagh, Ismayilli, Balaken and the Gabala regions of Azerbaijan.
