Azerbaijan, Albania sign agreement on coop

Azerbaijan and Albania have inked an agreement that will see the two countries enhance their cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism. The agreement was signed by Azeri culture and tourism minister Abulfaz Garayev and Albanian minister of tourism, culture, youth and sports Aldo Bumci in Tirana.

Garayev visited the Albanian capital to attend celebrative events marking the centenary of the country`s independence. The two ministers discussed prospects for developing the bilateral relations in the fields of culture, tourism and sports.

The visit also saw the Azeri Minister meet Albanian Premier Sali Berisha to explore ways of boosting the partnership between the two countries. The Albanian PM expressed confidence his country`s relationship with Azerbaijan would continue developing.

Berisha also praised the participation of Azerbaijan`s delegation in the celebrations of Albania`s independence. “I am thankful to President Ilham Aliyev for Azerbaijan`s high-level participation in the events dedicated to the centenary of Albania`s independence.”
