'Different religions friendly coexist in Azerbaijan'

Friendly ties exist among representatives of different religions and faiths in Azerbaijan, and this is clearly visible in the month of Muharram, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Board Allahshukur Pashazadeh told journalists on Wednesday.

"On the day of Ashura Sunnis as well as Shias came to the mosque together, prayed together and participated in Ashura. This is a form of tolerance. This tolerance exists in Azerbaijan between people, religions and faiths," Pashazadeh said.
