Date set for public hearings on Plan of Greater Baku Regional Development

The date of holding of public hearings on the important element of the Plan of Regional Development of the Greater Baku has been fixed.

Jahangir Gojayev, head of International Relations & Information Department of the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture of Azerbaijan, says that hearings will be conducted on 2 November.

During hearings it will be presented a scheme of the region’s development - the largest metropolitan area in the South Caucasus. After the approval of the scheme the project contractors should only carry out the functional zoning of Greater Baku and separately its central part. All work must be completed in March 2013.
