Azerbaijan`s Minister of Emergency Situations, colonel-general Kamaladdin Heydarov has met outgoing UN resident coordinator in the country Fikret Akcura.
During the meeting, Heydarov spoke of the current level of bilateral relations between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and relevant UN structures.
The Azeri Minister stressed the necessity of using the existing potential for expansion of ties even more. Akcura expressed confidence that the relevant bodies would continue joint efforts to deepen cooperative relations.
They also discussed implementation of an agreement on project for integrating climate change risks into water and flood management in the Greater Caucasus region of Azerbaijan signed between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and United Nations Development Programme.
Kamaladdin Heydarov wished Akcura successes in his future activity.
