Some 1,972 foreigners expelled from Azerbaijan

 The State Migration Service of Azerbaijan continues to tighten control over the legality of the stay of foreign citizens in the country.

The Service reports that in September 2,261 foreign persons were brought to administrative responsibility. As a result, residence of 289 foreigners in Azerbaijan was legalized, while 1,725 migrants were ordered to leave the country within 48 hours, and 247 foreigners were deported. As a result, last month the country was expelled 1,972 foreigners.
