Delays observed in Azerbaijan Railways activity

Azerbaijan Railways started the transportation of trains by diesel locomotives, the spokesman of Azerbaijan Railways Nadir Azmammadov told Trend on Friday.

He said Astara-Baku train arrived in the Capital in the morning.

The transportation of trains by diesel locomotives is carried out in both directions, both in capital and out of the capital, Azmamedov said.

Despite the problem with electricity, Azerbaijan Railways carries out all needed arrangements on transportation of passengers, he added.

"In spite of the problems with electricity, the transportation of all passengers will be provided even if there might be some delay," Azmamedov said

He added that problems with electricity brought to problems with communication, so all the calls are made by mobile phones.
