Construction of modern library in Baku runs smoothly - PHOTOS

The new building of the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will be fully ready in 2013. The new building is under construction in the land area of 0.9 hectares, near the Elimler Akademiyasi metro station.  The total area is 38 000 sq.m.
 
The first floor of the building will house a coffee shop, museum, restoration center, the remaining floors – library with 1.3 million books, reading rooms for 1100 seats, research departments, conference rooms, an administrative office, atrium, waiting rooms, individual reading rooms, etc.
 
In addition, the building will be equipped with modern lifts and escalators, and also got a parking lot.
