According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources currently water richness holds 80-150% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region of Major Caucasus, 70-150% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 50-100% in Lenkaran Astara region rivers, while 80-85% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
On September 17, 3cm decrease of water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 84 m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 60% of decade norm (in 2011, 93m3/sec, i.e 67% of decade norm).
From September 14, 18cm diminution of water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh river. At present water consumption holds 155 m3/sec, i.e 171% of decade norm. (in 2011, 101 m3/sec, i.e 112% of decade norm).
Currently water level holds 403cm (on September 17, 2011, 419cm) in Surra settlement, 300cm (on September 17, 2011, 313cm ) in Shirvan, 240cm (on September 17, 2011, 330cm) in Salyan, 232cm (on September 17, 2011, 249cm) in Banka, while 130cm (on September 17, 2011, 166cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
