Azerbaijani president opens a number of facilities in Jalilabad region - UPDATE

President Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated a flour factory of “Avanqard” LLC in Jalilabad.

The Head of State was informed that the facility has been provided with modern equipment. The factory has a five-storey mill complex.

President Ilham Aliyev launched the facility. The Azerbaijani President praised the work done here, and wished the staff success.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated the Jalilabad-Hamargishlag-Sadatli highway.

The Head of State viewed stands reflecting the technical indicators of the highway.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the 17 km highway links 14 residential areas in the region. The width of the road is 8 meters. The Azerbaijani government allocated 3 million manats for the construction of the highway.

The Jalilabad-Hamargishlag-Sadatli was built by “Inshaat Servis YKT” LLC. The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the highway.

President Ilham Aliyev met with local residents, who thanked the Azerbaijani leader for his care and attention.

President Ilham Aliyev has visited Jalilabad Broiler`s newly-reconstructed poultry meat production facility.

The Head of State viewed photo stands reflecting previous and current look of the facility and opening of the poultry farming in 1976 with the participation of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Executive director of the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support under the Ministry of Economic Development Shirzad Abdullayev informed the President that the reconstruction of the facility started in December, 2010 and ended in July, 2012.

The poultry meat production facility occupies a total area of 45 hectares. The reconstruction of the facility cost 5 million manats.

President Ilham Aliyev launched a new poultry feed production line of the facility. The facility created 220 jobs.

President Ilham Aliyev praised conditions created in the facility, and wished the staff success.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated the Jalilabad Olympic Sports Complex. The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Sports Complex, and toured it.

There are photo stands in the foyer reflecting care and attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of sports in the country and their visits to Jalilabad.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev informed the Azerbaijani leader about the Complex.

The construction of the Jalilabad Olympic Sports Complex started in 2007. The facility occupies a total area of 5 hectares.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that all conditions had been created here for hosting mini-football, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, judo and taekwondo tournaments.

The Complex has a gym, shooting gallery, chess room, swimming pool, tennis court, green area, stadium with artificial grass and 3-storied hotel.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev met with local residents. On behalf of Jalilabad`s residents, member of Azerbaijan`s national basketball team Zaur Pashayev thanked the Head of State for his care and attention.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inspected the newly reconstructed park in Jalilabad region.

Head of Jalilabad region Aziz Azizov said the park laid in 1952, was reconstructed for the first time. The monument to the victims of Second World War was erected there.

President of Azerbaijan laid flowers at the monument. The Head of State was informed that various public catering objects were opened here as well as handball, volleyball, and basketball facilities installed.

The park was decorated with stones, flowers and other landscape compositions. The up-to-date lightening system was installed there as well.

The Head of State hailed the conditions created here and gave relevant instructions.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today arrived in the country’s Jalilabad region.

Azerbaijani President visited the monument erected here to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Head of State has been informed on the redevelopment works carried out here.

President of Azerbaijan on Tuesday got acquainted with the Flag Square in Lankaran region.

President Aliyev was informed that the people have great respect and honor for the state attributes.

The flag flies on a pole 70 meters high and measures 20 by 10 meters. The 2-meter high basement features the state symbols of Azerbaijan (the coat of arms and the anthem). The Square is lightened by modern lightening system.

Construction of the Flag Square in Lankaran was launched this year in May, at the entrance of city, on Heydar Aliyev Avenue.

The President viewed the stands featuring the projects of development of Lankaran District. The Head of State praised the works done here and gave relevant instructions.

President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev has today opened newly reconstructed Lankaran frontier troops garrison.

Chief of the State Frontier Service, lieutenant-general Elchin Guliyev presented a report to the President.

The Head of State closely familiarized himself with the conditions created in the garrison. The President was informed about construction projects in other military facilities of the State Frontier Service.

President Ilham Aliyev saw the military equipment of the garrison, and praised conditions created there.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended a groundbreaking foundation ceremony of a hotel complex in Heydar Aliyev Avenue as part of his visit to Lankaran region.

The Head of State first viewed stands reflecting the layout of the complex.

The 4,7 ha complex will feature not only 7-story building with 114 rooms, but also 22 cottages, 5 of which are of VIP type.

The complex will house a disco club, children entertainment complex, 40-seat parking lot, a café, 300-seat conference hall, a pool, a park, sports grounds  and other facilities.

Head of State released the metallic capsule into the basement and put into motion concrete pouring machine.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in country's Lankaran region today.

President Aliyev visited the Heydar Aliyev memorial park to lay flowers on the monument erected here to Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Head of executive power of Lankaran Region Taleh Garashov informed the Head of State about the park, a lovely site of the local residents and visitors, with four hectares of area, the redevelopment works carried out there, and innovations.
