Oil, flora & fauna museums to appear in Baku

The museum of flora and fauna and the museum of oil will be created in the open air in Azerbaijan, Binagadi paleontological expedition head Tariel Heybatov said at an event today.

He said that about 32 wells in the territory must be brought in original state to create the monument. New species of flora and fauna found in the rocks will be classified. New paleontological, geological operations will be continued. A website of the Binagadi natural burial will be created.

Geybatov said that about 43 species of mammals, 109 species of birds, two species of reptiles, over 120 species of arthropods were revealed in the territory. Most of the revealed creatures die out in the modern period.

There are only two similar monuments of nature, one of them - Binagadi, head of the public association "Regional Development" Seymur Guliyev said.

He said that the second phase of research operations started in the territory of grave. The enlightening work is being carried out.

Guliyev said that this monument will have a positive impact on the development of tourism.

Director of the Archeology and Ethnography Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Maisa Rahimov stressed that archaeological science is undergoing a period of great development due to the attention and care of the Azerbaijani President.

She said that the archaeological work is being held in all Azerbaijani regions and the ancient material and cultural samples were discovered.

The analysis shows that one of the most ancient human settlements was in the territory of Azerbaijan.

Deputy chief of Binagadi district executive power Vusal Ismailov said that the executive power attaches great importance to this monument.

He stressed that all necessary conditions were created for the excavation.

He said that the important work was carried out to inform the world public about the significance of this monument.
