Real estate strategic plan to be drafted in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani State Property Committee has attracted international consultants to prepare a five-year strategic plan and annual plan of activities, the state committee said on Thursday.

Preparation of a five-year strategic plan and annual plan of activities is provided for in the next 12 months.

International consultants have already visited Azerbaijan to conduct preliminary research and planning activities.

The strategic plan will cover services provided by committee, staff development, preparation of technical plans, IT-strategies, etc.

According to the State Committee, in 2012-2013 the formation of corporate strategy and business plan for financing, real estate registration, planning for a single inventory, property management and resource mobilization are provided for.

The project, supported by the World Bank, provides for further improvement of the state committee for the registration of immovable property.

The State Committee will provide access to information on real estate through the introduction of information systems.

The results included in the new system for real estate, sale, lease, mortgage, number of operations will be regularly assessed through statistical research.

As part of the work implemented by the Committee in this regard an increase in the number of legal transactions conducted with real estate is expected.

These results will be analyzed based on the number of real estate facilities input into the system, transactions for buying and selling, mortgages and leases.

The results will be compared with other economic indicators that will allow to assess the extent of impact of the project implemented by the committee on other economic indicators by country.
