Over 60 foreigners arrested in Azerbaijan

Roughly 61 foreigners have been illegally residing and engaging in illegal activities in the country have been arrested in Azerbaijan, the State Migration Service told Trend today.

The State Migration Service employees conducted the appropriate checks in Baku, as well as in Salyan, Lankaran, Masalli and Yardimli regions on June 11-16.

About 61 foreigners illegally residing and engaged in labor activity without a permit have been revealed. This contradicts to the laws of the country.

The measures in accordance with Articles 339 and 340-1 of the Azerbaijani Administrative Code were taken toward the detained individuals.

The State Migration Service continues intensive activities in the capital and regions of the country to reveal and prevent cases of illegal migration.
