Azerbaijani Youth Foundation starts activities

Today, Baku hosted a presentation of a website and logo of the Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan.

During the presentation, head of the Azerbaijani Youth Foundation Farhad Hajiyev awarded the developer of the foundation's new logo and informed guests in detail about the website structure.

Logo of Youth Foundation has been selected on a competitive basis. Some 181 works were submitted to the contest, which was attended by young people living in Azerbaijan and abroad.

In his speech, Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov noted that, in connection with the beginning of the Azerbaijani Youth Foundation activities work on youth policy is entering a new phase. The minister said that despite the fact that the Foundation is subordinate to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, its activity will be independent.

He noted that projects submitted to the Foundation must be modern and focused on youth development.

Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Political Analysis and Information Provision Department head Elnur Aslanov during a speech at the presentation noted that the Azerbaijani Youth Foundation is entrusted with a big mission.

The Foundation will support innovative ideas of young people and youth organizations, state and local agencies that implement the youth policy in the regions, mainly in the field of applied research, the major social issues and the administration, will increase the number of initiatives and broaden the participation of the younger generation in the development of state and society, will encourage the creation and management of ideas. Aslanov also expressed confidence that in future funds allocated by the state to the Foundation, will increase from year to year.
