Date of commissioning major suspension bridge in Baku announced

A major suspension bridge built  as a part of the major road complex near the Koroglu metro station will be put into operation by late May, Spokesman to the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry’s Azeryolservis OJSC Punhan Mursaliyev reported.

He said the work on the construction of a new bridge with a length of 325 meters is almost completed. “Now, the work is underway to dismantle formwork and the bridge can be put into operation in late May," Mursaliyev said.

The major road junction near the Koroglu metro station includes nine bridges and 11 runs, with a total length of 3600 linear meters. The work on the construction of new road junctions and pedestrian crossings are carried out to facilitate the unloading and movement on the roads of the city of Baku.
