Azerbaijani police ensure security measures due to Eurovision-2012

Necessary security measures are being continued due to Eurovision-2012 Song Contest in Baku, Baku city Main Police Office told APA.

According to information, Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov signed a special Action Plan for efficient ensuring of security during the contest. Staff of the Baku Police Garrison is being provided all forces and techniques for security of the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest.

Baku police are taking necessary measures to ensure public and legal order, security at a high level. Necessary security measures are being taken at the hotels, where the guests will stay and around of the contest’s venue.

The report also says that the positive experience of Russia and Germany, which host previous Eurovision contests, are being learnt and used. At the same time, the trainings were held between Vienna Police Department and Baku city Main Police Office within the exchange of experience due to this contest in Azerbaijan. Preparation works were carried out for the protection of public order on the eve of contest, determination of the personnel, stationary and location of routes in order to ensure public order and security before and during the event, the organization of the daily duty of a special schedule.
