New shopping center to appear in Baku PHOTOS

The Glass Market located in the Yasamal district of Baku was completely dismantled, the contractor company working on the site reported. Acceding to the report, new shopping center will be constructed here. Construction is expected to be launched in late may, following the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest.

The Glass Market was built in 1950s. Since 2005, the market has ceased functioning, and since 2010 has been fenced. The facility was privatized.
