Azerbaijan works to improve living conditions of IDPs

The Azerbaijani government has extended the validity of solutions to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons deprived of their place of work, until 2013, the Cabinet of Ministers said on Tuesday.

According to a government decision, the validity of the second part of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan ? 181 of May 10, 1994"On measures to improve the living conditions of IDPs, who had been working in budget-financed institutions and organizations, and deprived of their jobs, and unemployed" extended till January 1, 2013.

Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other relevant government bodies and executive authorities of the occupied areas entrusted to intensify efforts to implement the activities on employment of IDPs in accordance with the execution of the decision, and to provide report on the work performed to the Cabinet of Ministers quarterly.
Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare entrusted to take appropriate action in relation to employment of displaced persons who have applied in the employment services in the manner prescribed by law.
