Traffic movement restored after snowstorm

The problems occurred in Azerbaijan's major highways following the cold snap were eliminated, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's Central State Traffic Police Department spokesman Kamran Aliyev reported.

The normal traffic movement on the roads was restored in Baku. However, some roads were iced. The snowfall in Sheki-Zagatala and Ismayilli-Mughanli territories is continuing icing the roads. There are many dry parts on Baku-Astara highway. But the drivers must be careful in those territories. The sand is splashed and the roads are being cleaned from ice for restoration of traffic movement ". Aliyev said that six traffic accidents occurred on Feb.2 and two people died and five were injured as a result
