Drivers warned of snow risks!

The snowy weather in Azerbaijan created problems for traffic movement and the roads in the directions of the Azerbaijani regions become unsafe and slippery.

The traffic movement was hampered on the Baku-Guba road, Mughanli-Ismayilli road and Shamakhi-Maraza road, as well as the Agsu pass, due to heavy snow and glaze, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry’s Central State Traffic Police Department spokesman Kamran Aliyev reported.

He said the roads were splashed with sand and salt for the purpose of providing the safe traffic movement.  The traffic movement also became difficult on the Baku-Sumgait road, and roads in the foothill areas of Baku.

He advised the drivers and road users to be careful on the roads, given the adverse weather conditions, and use winter wheels.
