Syrian newspaper features Azerbaijan`s achievements

Syria`s “Alwatan” newspaper published an article entitled “Azerbaijan`s expectations from the UN Security Council membership”. The author says Azerbaijan got 155 votes in the final round of the UN Security Council election and got a non-permanent seat here.

The article also features issues which are scheduled to be included in Security Council`s agenda during Azerbaijan`s membership. The author touches on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, recalling UN`s draft resolution on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. The author writes about Palestinian President`s visit to Azerbaijan and also hails Azerbaijani government`s support to Palestinian Embassy in Baku.
