Bernard Fassier says time has come to resolve Karabakh conflict

"The Karabakh conflict will be resolved, when people in the South Caucasus region will live in tranquility and peace,” French co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier stated in Baku. He arrived in the country yesterday.

He said the process of the conflict resolution should be accelerated so that the situation improved, ANS Press reported.  «Do you see what is happening in the Middle East today? The delayed conflicts lead to a complication of their resolutions,” he said. “The time has come to resolve the Karabakh conflict.”

"The South Caucasus region is situated far from Europe. Today issues, such as the future of the EU and the euro, finding a way out of the global economic crisis are more important for Europe,”he said.
