
Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov met with Director General of German News Agency DAPD (Deutscher Auslands-Depeschendienst) Alexander Todosiychuk on Thursday to discuss cooperation between the two countries` media structures.
According to the Azerbaijan Press Council, Alexander Todosiychuk provided information on DAPD`s activity. He said that the agency spreading 600 news, 800 photo information and 20 video reportages daily has 32 bureaus in different countries.
“Germany is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan`s media bodies. The Caucasus, especially Azerbaijan are important regions for DAPD from the informational point of view,” he added. Describing the main objective of the Council Aflatun Amashov underlined the cooperation with authoritative media organizations of the world. The Chairman stressed the necessity of bringing objective and biased information about Azerbaijan to the world community. He stressed the importance of boosting cooperation between the German news agency and Azerbaijan mass media.
