New page will be opened in Iraq-Azerbaijan relations

“Visit of Iraqi foreign minister to Azerbaijan will open new page in developing relations,” said Azerbaijani ambassador to Jordan and Iraq Elman Arasli. The diplomat briefed about current state of Azerbaijan-Iraq relations and further prospects of cooperation.

Mr. Arasli said in accordance with Milli Majlis resolution, works on opening of Azerbaijan Embassy to Iraq are going on. The diplomat said participation of Iraqi officials in numerous events and creation of Azerbaijan-Iraq Intergovernmental Joint Commission are important contribution to development of bilateral relations.

Elman Arasli said the Embassy does all possible to develop trade, economic, tehnical and cultural relations with Iraq. The government of Iraq is keen to attract Azerbaijani companies in restoration of the country.
