Heydar Aliyev commemorated in Tabriz

Consulate general of Azerbaijan in the city of Tabriz, Iran, held a ceremony to commemorate memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The attendees revered memory of the great Azerbaijani leader with a moment of silence, then recited prayers from the sacred Koran.

The ceremony was attended by residents from Iran`s province Eastern Azerbaijan, head of the Foreign Ministry of Iran on north-western region, consul general of Turkey in Tabriz and personnel of the consulate, media representatives, public figures.

The consul general of Azerbaijan in Tabriz Ali Alizade informed on rich life and activity of the great leader, noting his historical merits for the Azerbaijani nation. The peaceful nations of world revere the bright memory of Azerbaijan`s national leader, the consul general said. In the friendly and neighboring country Iran, including in Tabriz, the people revere his memory and pray for him, he stressed. Participants of ceremony viewed the photo and book exhibition dedicated to the national leader of Azerbaijan.
