Azerbaijani, Polish think tanks to boost coop

The delegation headed by the SAM Deputy Director Gulshan Pashayeva will be visiting Poland on Dec. 12-18 2011. During the visit, on December 13, the delegation will participate in the conference entitled “EU Eastern Partnership-Azerbaijan: Challenges and Perspectives”  which is jointly organized by the Polish Institute of International Affairs, Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAM), The National School of Public Administration (KSAP) and Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Poland.

Additionally, the delegation of the Center for Strategic Studies will participate in the closed roundtable meeting co-organized by PISM, KSAP and SAM and dedicated to Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict. Moreover, the memorandum of cooperation will be signed between SAM and the Center for Political Research of Warsaw University, on December 15, 2011. The document includes holding meetings, conducting joint researches, establishing bilateral cooperation in different fields etc.

Holding a roundtable on the topic of “Energy Policy of Azerbaijan – Relations with Russia, Iran and Turkey” at the Eastern Institute of Warsaw University and Casimir Pulaski Foundation, meeting with the experts of the Center for Eastern Studies of the Polish Republic, as well as delivering speeches for the students of European Diplomatic Academy is planned within the framework of the visit.

During the visit SAM delegation will meet with the state officials of Poland and the heads of the polish think-tanks, will discuss with them cooperation opportunities on regionally important strategic projects.
