Azerbaijani President congratulates Russian President and PM

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on the victory at the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“Dear Dmitry Anatolyevich, Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of victory of the United Russia Party, whose party has been led by you, in the election to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation,” the congratulatory message reads.

 “Victory in this election has demonstrated the fact that the friendly people of Russia support your policies towards strengthening the statehood and law in the country, modernizing all spheres of society, bolstering the positions and authority of Russia in the global community.

 I am convinced that the traditionally friendly and good neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, our multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership will continue to grow and develop in the interests of our peoples, peace, security and prosperity in the region. Mr. President, I wish you good health, happiness and every success in your activities, and prosperity and welfare to the friendly people of Russia.”

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also congratulated the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the United Russia Party, H. E. Mr. Vladimir Putin .

“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, Let me heartily congratulate you on the victory of the United Russia Party in the election to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation,” the congratulatory message reads.

“The victory of the party you are leading in the election confirms the great confidence the Russian people have in you, their commitment to your policies towards dynamic socioeconomic development, democratic reforms in all fields and strengthening the rule of law in the country.

I am convinced that the centuries-old relations of friendship and good neighborliness, the comprehensive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia will further strengthen and expand for the benefit of our peoples and countries.
