ICRC negotiates with Azerbaijan, Armenia on search of Karabakh war mass graves

01 December 2011 [17:50] - TODAY.AZ
The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) holds negotiations with Azerbaijani and Armenian state agencies on searching and founding of mass graves established during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Head of ICRC Azerbaijani representation, Sherin Pollini told APA.

She said the negotiations are held on determining the place of both mass and individual graves. “It is a very important issue, because 17 years have passed from the burial of these people. There are people, religious figures living in these villages who know the place of these mass graves. These people are still alive. It is needed to obtain this information”. ICRC will start new project on search of people who went missing during Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
