Iraqi minister notes great development in Azerbaijan

Iraq`s minister of municipalities and public works Adil Muheydar Razi Al-Maliki met with the members of Azerbaijan-Iraq working group on interparliamentary relations yesterday.

Head of the group Ilham Mammadov praised the current level of relations and pointed to the role of the two countries` legislative bodies in the development of bilateral ties. He also highly hailed activity of the friendship groups established in the parliaments.
 
The Azerbaijani MP spoke of importance of reciprocal visits and stressed the Iraqi Minister`s visit would contribute to further expansion of cooperation. Member of the working group Ganira Pashayeva briefed the Minister on Azerbaijan`s achievements, reforms carried out in the country as well as Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.  In turn, Adil Muheydar said they witnessed great development in Azerbaijan and added that Iraq is interested in all-round development of relations with Azerbaijan.
