US top official starts visit to Azerbaijan

During his visit, Secretary Mabus will meet with Government of Azerbaijan officials to discuss U.S.-Azerbaijani security cooperation.

Subordinate to the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Navy is responsible for the conduct of all the affairs of the Department of the Navy as its Chief Executive Officer. The Department of the Navy consists of two Uniformed Services: the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps.

The Secretary of the NAVY is responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies and programs that are consistent with the national security policies and objectives established by the President or the Secretary of Defense.
