Azeri FM meets Chairman of Munich Security Conference

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Thursday with Chairman of the Munich Security Conference Wolfgang Ischinger. Wolfgang Ischinger congratulated and wished successes to Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2012-2013 years.

The Chairman of the Munich Security Conference underlined Azerbaijan`s gaining seat in the UN Security Council was a great success for such young nation. Wolfgang Ischinger expressed pleasure with his visit to Azerbaijan. The Chairman of the conference expressed confidence Azerbaijan`s activity in the UN Security Council would be ‘successful’.

During the meeting, the parties discussed processes in the European Union, in particular economic issues.
