President Ilham Aliyev receives Thor Heyerdahl`s family members - PHOTO

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday received here family members of prominent Norwegian traveler and scientist Thor Heyerdahl.

Speaking on behalf of the scientist`s family, Heyerdahl`s son recalled his father`s meetings with Azerbaijani people`s national leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted he had always heard kind words about Azerbaijan from his father.

The Head of State stressed importance of Heyerdahl`s great interest in Azerbaijan and his opinion about the country. President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that the visit of Thor Heyerdahl`s family to Azerbaijan provides good opportunity to take a closer look at the country.
