As a member of the observation mission for presidential and municipal elections in Bulgaria, Ganira Pashayeva has met with the members of Bulgarian delegation to the European Parliament of Turkish descent Filiz Hyusmenova, Metin Kazak, and member of the country`s delegation to PACE Unal Lutvi.

The sides exchanged views on situation of Turks living in Bulgaria. Pashayeva noted her country is interested in boosting ties with Turks living all over the world, in Bulgaria as well. The Azerbaijani MP provided information on acts of vandalism committed by Armenia in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, UN resolutions, resolution 1416 adopted by PACE, and other documents adopted by Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and other international organizations demanding an unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands. She noted these documents still remained unfulfilled.

Pashayeva pointed out that all Turks should increase efforts to raise awareness of the world community about realities of Azerbaijan. In turn, Bulgarian MPs stressed importance of deepening cooperation between Azerbaijani and Bulgarian Turks.
