U.S. Ambassador Matt Bryza: Joint work in life-changing activities is site of real partnership

U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza named joint work in the life-changing activities as a site of real partnership.

"So many NGOs, many programs and partners are involved in these life-changing activities," Bryza said. "The fact that we are able to establish these programs together with other civil societies such as Save the Children, USAID and with the Azerbaijani government is a site of real partnership."

"We are developing a program of vocational schools for girls from families that discouraged the girls from completing schools and encourage them to marry young. What we are here discussing today is part of broader efforts that all of us are involved," he said at an event organized by the USAID and Save the Children organization.

Bryza thanked the partners in the Azerbaijani government, the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, as well as the department on children protection of the Education Ministry.

"We do so much together to help remove the obstacles that female business people face," he said.
