20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence marked in Warsaw

Poland`s capital has hosted a celebrative event marking the 20th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence. Speaking to the event, Azeri ambassador Hasan Hasanov highlighted Azerbaijan`s path to independence.

He said national leader Heydar Aliyev`s returning to power in Azerbaijan in 1993 marked a turning point in the country`s history of statehood and independence. “The national leader`s policy is today being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. His well-thought internal and foreign policy is what strengthens Azerbaijan`s independence and international image.”

The event also featured the launch of the Azerbaijani community`s Azerbaijan magazine.
