Moldova hosts presentation of stamps devoted to 20th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan independence

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova organized an official reception on Monday devoted to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan’s independence, press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Moldova said.

The reception was attended by heads of state and government of the Republic of Moldova, MPs, Cabinet members, foreign ambassadors and representatives of the international organizations accredited in Moldova, as well as scientists, artists, literary and public figures, members of the Azerbaijan diaspora in Moldova.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Moldova Namik Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Filat addressed the ceremony. The event also featured presentation of new postage stamps dedicated to the 20th anniversary of restoration Azerbaijan’s independence.

The stamps depict National Flag, National Emblem, the text and notes of the national anthem and a map of Azerbaijan Republic. Face value of each stamp is AZN 1. Postal units depict national leader Heydar Aliyev, State Flag and a map of Azerbaijan. Each block is estimated at AZN 2. In the decoration of the entire series there is a special logo, devoted to the 20th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan’s independence.

The event’s participants were presented souvenir stamps and envelopes.
