20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence marked in Parliament

A meeting dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence took place in Milli Majlis.

Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov made an opening speech. Mr. Asadov told of history of independence of the country and achievements gained during the 20 years.

Azeri deputies stressed the national leader Heydar Aliyev`s merits in establishment and strengthening of the state and land improvements being implemented in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
