Azerbaijan constantly raises the issue of drug production and trafficking in the Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani territories at the international organizations, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov told journalists on Monday.
"We constantly raise at the international organizations the fact that Azerbaijan cannot control the Armenian-occupied territories, and Armenia is engaged in unlawful activity in these territories," Khalafov said.
He said Azerbaijan's occupied territories are used for drug cultivation, transit and trafficking. International organizations should focus on this issue.
"Azerbaijan has done the necessary work to inform international community about it. International organizations should be more active to effectively address this problem," Khalafov said.
He stressed the continued occupation of the Azerbaijani territories creates great obstacles in drug enforcement activities. International organizations should be aware of this fact, Khalafov added.
