Azerbaijan, Germany discuss inter-parliamentary relations

The German Bundestag held discussions with the Azerbaijani Parliament, a member of the German ruling party Steffen Lemme told press on Friday.

The discussions focused on strengthening the inter-parliamentary ties, he said. There are Azerbaijani and German inter-parliamentary friendship groups, he said.

It is necessary to intensify the work of these groups. He said that his country always recognized Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. "The German Bundestag has adopted a number of documents on Nagorno-Karabakh," he said. "Germany is active on this issue."

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved only within the territorial integrity of the country, he said. Azerbaijan's territorial integrity must not be violated.
