Azeri ambassador to Italy visits European University Institute

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov visited the European University Institute (EUI) where he met President of the Institute, Josep Borrell and Secretary General, Pasquale Ferrara.

The talks focused on prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan-based higher education institutions and EUI.

Then, Sadigov delivered a report for the Institute`s students and teaching staff. He highlighted a number of issues, including Azerbaijan`s internal and foreign policy, Azerbaijan-Europe relations, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The diplomat also answered questions.

The European University Institute is an international postgraduate and post-doctoral teaching and research institute established by European Union member states to contribute to cultural and scientific development in the social sciences, in a European perspective.
