Armenia hit record in violating ceasefire

Armenian armed forces hit record in violating ceasefire in Karabakh frontline and on Armenia-Azerbaijan borders in the past period of this year.

Armenian Armed Forces fired at positions of the Azerbaijani Army and residential sections 119 times in September this year. According to the results of monitoring based on the official reports of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, 4 servicemen (1 officer) of the Azerbaijani Army were wounded during the ceasefire violation.

Most of the ceasefire violation facts were recorded in Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani Army positions in this region were under the fire 27 times.

Ceasefire was violated 15 times in Terter, 14 times in Aghdam, 12 times in Khojavend, 9 times in Goranboy, 7 times in Jabrayil, one in Goygol.

On Armenia-Azerbaijan state border the ceasefire was violated 12 times in Gazakh, 9 times in Tovuz, 7 times in Gedebey, 4 times in Aghstafa and 2 times in Dashkesen.

According to the results of the monitoring, Armenian Armed Forces violated ceasefire 601 times in January-September (9 months) this year (24 times in January, 56 times in February, 80 times in March, 36 times in April, 80 times in May, 69 times in June, 68 times in July, 69 times in August, 119 times in September).

10 servicemen of Azerbaijani Armed Forces, 4 civilians (three, including two children hit a mine) were killed, 18 (3 civilians, on struck mine) were wounded as Armenian Armed Forces violated ceasefire in 2011.
