“I do not think that Azerbaijan’s vote for Palestine’s independence at the UN will influence the relations between the Azerbaijani and Jewish communities,” Jewish member of the US Senate Daphna Ziman said in Baku. She said discussions are being held at the UN.

“This issue is on the first stage. Israel’s security must also be ensured,” he said. Daphna Ziman is aware that there are about one million refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan suffers from this problem. Human rights of these refugees have been violated,” she said.
