President of Azerbaijan congratulates Jewish community on Roshashana

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a message of congratulations to the Jewish community of Azerbaijan whereby the head of state congratulated them on the Jewish New year- Roshashana, “symbol of spiritual cleanness, solidarity and benevolence”.

President Aliyev extended his best wishes to the country`s Jews, noting that “irrespective of language, religion, ethnic belonging, representatives of all nations, including the Jewish citizens, have been living in Azerbaijan for long years in condition of peace and take active part in the socio-political and cultural life of country.

Propaganda of ethnic-cultural diversity in the society, development of the language and culture of minorities, preservation of customs and traditions is under constant patronage of state, and this will be further continued”, the message says.
