Turkish Martyrdom Monument and Alley of Martyrs visited on day of liberation of Baku from occupation

Turkish Martyrdom Monument and Alley of Martyrs have been visited on the day of liberation of Baku from the Armenian-Bolshevik occupation.

The ceremony was organized by the Turkish embassy in Baku. Representatives of the Turkish embassy, members of the parliament, public organizations and political parties visited the Alley of Martyrs and Martyrdom Monument. Chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Board Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, officers of the Defense Ministry, Turkey’s defense attaché in Azerbaijan, as well as Turkish singer Ahmet Safak also joined the ceremony.

Azerbaijani and Turkish national anthems were played and wreaths were laid before the Martyrdom Monument. The visitors paid tribute to the martyrs and laid wreaths before the Eternal Flame Monument at the Alley of Martyrs. Colonel of the Turkish Army Murat Aydin spoke about the history of September 15 events and arrival of the Caucasian Islamic Army in Azerbaijan.

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic told journalists that Septembr 15 is one of the most remarkable events in the history of Azerbaijan. “Azerbaijani and Turkish soldiers together liberated Baku from the enemies and signed the history of establishment of Azerbaijani state”.
