Egyptian newspaper features Azerbaijan

The Egypt-based Arabic newspaper “Arab-Africa” published an article under the title “The first parliamentary republic in the Orient” by the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev.
The author informed readers on the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

The article says that Azerbaijan was the first country to introduce women`s suffrage ahead of several European countries. He provided background on education, culture and military of the country.

Abdullayev also spoke of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan and briefed the readers on the occupation of Azerbaijani territories.

The author informed readers on achievements gained in Azerbaijan after restoring its independence. On Azerbaijan`s oil-gas sector, Abdullayev noted the country`s role in European energy security.
