Azerbaijan`s President congratulates Russian counterpart on his birthday

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on his birthday. The letter says “Russia is confidently marching, under your leadership, on the path towards improving state and democratic institutions, modernizing economy and social sphere. Influence of your country is increasing on international arena.

You have made outstanding contributions to development and strengthening of traditional friendship and good-neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia that today carries the character of strategic partnership. Your efforts aimed at regulation of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, based on norms and principles of international law, are welcomed with great approval in Azerbaijan.”

The Azerbaijani President expressed confidence in the letter that “our inter-state relations and multilateral cooperation will further develop and expand successfully for the sake of welfare of our peoples, and for peace, stability, and security in the Caucasus.”

“I highly appreciate the personal relations established between us that are based on mutual respect and trust.”
