Azerbaijani MP: Certain proposals to government are ridiculous

Ruling New Azerbaijan Party Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Siyavush Novruzov commented on the proposals titled, "Smooth passage to democracy," prepared by the Public Chamber.

"The Public Chamber is not a legal organization and I do not recognize such an organization. It brings together individuals, who are not elected by the community and have not gained votes. It is ridiculous when a group of people from different corners talk something and make some proposals," Novruzov told Trend on Monday.

He believes that if members of the Public Chamber have ability and aptitude, they would have been supported by the peoples and elected to parliament, municipalities and other bodies.

"Non-elected individuals can not make proposals to the government. They do not even have an idea about democracy, however, they speak about it," Novruzov said.
