Armenia is concerned over Azerbaijan’s activeness in Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.

Member of the Armenian delegation to the organization, deputy chairman of Euronest Political Committee Naira Zohrabyan confessed it to news.am website.

Zohrabyan said there are great many problems at Euronest, and the Armenian delegation is actively preparing for the session.

“In general, Euronest is an important but also a complicated platform for us, since our eastern partners represented at Euronest are united in the GUAM (Georgia, the Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova) organization, and it is clear that Azerbaijan will attempt to use GUAM’s opportunities against Armenia in Euronest,” she said.

In response to the question whether there is a concern that Azerbaijan would try to fail Armenia’s initiatives at Euronest, Naira Zohrabyan said that concern always exists, reminding that, in connection with the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, it was proposed that at least one session of a Euronest commission be held in Armenia, but Azerbaijan impeded it.
