Representatives of think tanks from several European countries visit SAM

Representatives of think tanks and parliamentarians from Spain, Italy, Iceland, Estonia and Ukraine have today visited the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM).
They were informed about the activity of the Center.

The meeting focused on a wide range of issues, including geopolitics of South Caucasus, EU`s relations with the regional states, negotiation process of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, situation in the Middle East and international security.

The necessity of holding scientific and research events between think tanks was stressed at the meeting. Representatives of think tanks briefed participants on a conference titled “EU`s glance at Caspian region: soft power or real politics?” to be held in Baku on Wednesday.

The meeting participants also discussed regional and international issues.
