OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Nagorno Karabakh expected to visit region in September

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Nagorno Karabakh Joao Soares will visit the region in September, member of Azerbaijani delegation in OSCE PA, MP Eldar Ibrahimov said.

According to Ibrahimov, Soares said it at the meeting with Azerbaijan’s delegation in OSCE PA.

“Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations highly welcomed Soares’s appointment to this post, because he was president of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, visited Azerbaijan and Armenia, closely knows region and process and has a fair position” – Ibrahimov underlined.

Soares was member of the European Parliament and OSCE PA, has held a post of OSCE PA president for two years.
